Technology involves children in generating ideas, acting on them to solve problems & investigating how things work. Technology is closely linked with science.  Children are involved in a problem or challenge.


Tinkering is a great way to investigate how things work.  Rescuing technology from landfill and taking it apart can be an excellent learning opportunity.  When we can, we salvage the working parts and create new products.  Here is a video of a Squigglebot made from a fan from an old computer. This Squigglebot was made by Rachel and Melanie in Year 6.
