Enrolment

Thank you for your interest in enrolling your child at Doncaster Gardens Primary School.

Our school follows the Department of Education ‘Placement Policy’. This states that ‘eligible children and young persons have the right to be admitted to their designated neighbourhood government school, regardless of capacity’ based on their residential address. A student’s designated neighbourhood school is generally the school that is nearest the student’s permanent address as determined by the school zone.

Our school zone

Our school zone is available onfindmyschool.vic.gov.auwhich hosts the most up-to-date information on school zones in Victoria.

Students residing within our school zone are guaranteed a place at our school. Your school zone is determined based on your permanent residential address. You will be asked to provide 100 points of Proof of Address. 100-point-address-checklist-1867

Our school manages enrolments using thePlacement Policyto ensure that students have access to their local school. Students may enrol at another school if there are available places.

Our school has an enrolment restriction under section 2.2.16 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic). The restriction limits enrolments for the 2026 school year.

Our school will accept enrolments from:

  • students who live within the school zone
  • students with a sibling currently attending the school and will continue to be enrolled at the same time
  • students enrolling on compassionate grounds, in exceptional circumstances.

Depending on available places, our school may be able to accept a limited number of out-of-zone Foundation enrolments according to next closest to the school.

For more information about our school zone, please contact our school. For answers to frequently asked questions about school zones, visitSchoolzones.
