YEAR 6 TO 7 ELECTRONIC ENROLMENT PROCESS
In 2024 we are part of the expansion of a new online program which allows parents of Year 6 students at a small number of Inner East primary schools to apply online to a small number of neighbouring Victorian government secondary schools for Year 7 in 2025 - the full list of schools is at the end. Schools that are not part of the online enrolment program in 2024 will continue to use paper-based application forms.
The online enrolment application aims to simplify and streamline the enrolment process for parents/carers of Year 6 students.
It is important to note that the placement policy is followed by all government schools. You can view the placement policy. Your chances of being offered a place in the schools you apply for are not advantaged or disadvantaged by using this online system.
The online system will allow parents/carers to complete an online enrolment application for up to three secondary schools. This ensures that you are providing up do date, accurate information to the schools you are applying for and removes the opportunity for transcription errors. As it is online, an application can be completed on laptops, PC’s and mobile phones. The system will also allow you to upload documented proof of residential address.
When do I receive the information?
On Wednesday 17 April 2024, one adult from each Year 6 student’s family will receive an email with a link to register and use the online system. Please look out for this email (including within any spam or junk folders). If you have not received the email by 5 pm Thursday 18 April 2024, please get in touch with your class teacher or our school office.

A Quick Reference Guide will be provided to help you navigate the online system, as part of the email sent to one adult on Wednesday 17 April 2024. We will also be available to answer questions and support you through the process as needed.
If you do not wish to use the online system you may opt out and continue with a paper-based application. To opt out, please advise our school office.
Students not attending a Victorian government secondary school in 2025
If you are certain your child will not attend a Victorian government secondary school in 2025, we ask you to please advise us via return email by Monday 15 April 2024, and include evidence of your child’s Year 7 enrolment for 2025 in your reply. You will not need to complete the digital process.
Students from families with shared decision-making responsibility
The email containing the link to register and use the online system will be sent only to the email address of one adult (Adult A), as currently captured in our records. It remains the responsibility of all adults to consult with each other in making your child’s enrolment decision for 2025, where it is safe to do so.
